| All Against The Haul |Four State Effort
(This post is still under construction)

All Against The Haul | All Against The Haul
"All Against the Haul is a homegrown, four-state effort working to stop the construction of a permanent industrial corridor for massively oversized loads to the Alberta Tar Sands through Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana.
From Portland to Seattle, Kooskia to Choteau, we build bridges between communities and non-traditional allies, and between grassroots volunteers and people of influence in county seats, state capitals, and in Washington, DC.
We are ranchers and outfitters, tea party members and liberals, tribal nations and truckers - working together to pressure elected officials to stand up for the integrity of our communities, the safety of our roads, and the strength of our economies.
We are anyone and everyone who cares about our economy, our homelands, and our way of life. We are All Against The Haul."

HELP! We need EVERYBODY who possibly can to send emails and make phone calls about this. NOW. TODAY. This picture shows what almost a hundred miles of wild and scenic will look like if Exxxon gets their way! These trees on USFS land belong to *us*, the US Taxpayer, not tax-dodging Exxxon. Tell the forest service officials to do their job and PROTECT OUR FOREST!!!
Wall Photos
Big Oil's wish is the Clearwater National Forest's command...or so it seems. Ex...xon demanded that all trees along Hwy 12 be trimmed up to 32 feet high and 3 feet from the fog line, with no regard for the Wild and Scenic corridor and the majestic trees that line the route. Please help us remind our public officials at the USFS that those are OUR trees - not Exxon's. Contact these officials today:
Craig Trulock: cturlock@fs.fed.us; 208-926-4274
Rick Brazell, Clearwater NF Supervisor: rbrazell@fs.fed.us; 208-476-4541

What's left after schools are torn to shreds? Put the kids to work. It'll keep 'em out of trouble & they're cheaper than big people. A real win-win for the economy...

"Low and middle income people would lose tax credits worth about $49.4 million over two years, the new Legislative Fiscal Bureau report said. Those affected most by Walker's proposal would include low-income families who qualify for the earned income tax credit program, and low-income homeowners who receive tax rebates under the homestead tax credit."

Maine Gov. Paul LePage's tantrum over a labor department mural depicting (gasp!) the history of labor in his state may now cost taxpayers about $37,000.

"Hey, everyone, if it wasn't for these 14 brave politicians we wouldn't have been able to stretch this protest out long enough for voters to get informed, republicans to get recalled, or for 72 countries and all 50 states to buy us pizza, we couldn't have reached protests that were 200,000 people strong (larger than Vietnam), inspired kids to get into politics... Sounds like #1 material to me. (Share)

"Derided as the "most shameful 14 people in the state of Wisconsin" by the Republican state senate majority leader, they also became folk heroes on the left. Pins were printed in their honor, and people even learned their lawmakers' names."
