After Walker "dropped the bomb" on Wisconsin in early 2011, even many moderate Republicans disagreed with his extreme agenda. Stories abound of moderate legislators who were coerced into compliance. State Sen. Bob Jauch (D), who spoke frequently with his friend Tommy Thompson during early 2011, said "Tommy was beside himself that Walker was so dogmatic. We had lots of conversations about this-about how it was going to do nothing but cause chaos, and it was bad for the state. Businesses aren't going to move here in the middle of all this conflict."
