This is a demonstration of a proper election system. Mandatory paper ballots ( no VVPAT's ) - Open source software ( no " corporate owned " software ) - This activist effort has been embraced by the California State Democratic Party Platform.. but has not been implemented.. mainly due to Microsoft lobbyist control over the political process..

Comments:
Dan Schulte: that sounds like a step or two in the right direction. Paper ballots should be required, enabling a hand recount w no bull ----.
Brent Turner: @ Dan- Yes- these two steps change the game.. Once you can see the code- and have mandatory paper ballots- the risk / reward ratio for manipulation changes dramatically- and an appropriate deterrent level is created.. You still have to have surrounding security in place- but at least you have proper foundation..

Tale of the Tapes: Wisconsin's 'Dog-and-Pony Show' Faith-Based Supreme Court Election 'Recount'
"On Friday of last week, Barbara With, one of Kloppenburg's volunteer observers at the "recount" in Waukesha County, was startled to watch poll tapes being counted --- in this case, so-called "Voter Verified Paper Audit Trails" (VVPATs) printed out by Sequoia AVC Edge touch-screen machines from the City of Pewaukee --- even though the dates on them read March 30, 2011, a full seven days prior to the April 5th election." How do we change the minds of billions?
"In the end the answer is far simpler then you would have thought. You can only change the minds of others by changing your own first. By making small, subtle changes in your own life you can start to effect a larger change. Stop shopping at certain stores, stop using certain banks, start eating consciously, start exercising, pick up the phone and join a local political rally and most importantly, by not choosing fear. Everyone has their own way that they resonate with. The point is we have to be the change in the world we want to see."
