With the stroke of a pen last month, Gov. Rick Snyder made item-pricing repeal the law of the land - legislation he says will streamline costs for businesses.
"That is really an example of the (Republicans') fear of accountability," said state Rep. Jeff Irwin, an Ann Arbor Democrat. "Anytime the Legislature does something like that, it's a demonstration of the same, that we are doing something we are ashamed of, and we are afraid to face the music."
