Wow... he says the exact same thing that I propose as a question to every political candidate that I encounter on the local level... sustainable communities - not relying on "investment", "growth" or "business" as a solution. I agree wit...h him - dark times ahead - sure, it might be 20 years out and we might see a few more war fronts that are truly wars for resources, but the empire is on the way out. How many foreign military bases are there in the USA? How many do we have outside our borders? What percentage of discretionary is spent on war? Compared to the rest of the world? Why so much fear, hatred and racism? This is all the antithesis of any sane vision of a 21st Century that I can imagine. The enemy is us.
