"M&I executives donated over $260,000 to Governor Scott Walker and his republican allies, the elected officials responsible for the recent attacks on Wisconsin workers. But that's not all. M&I Bank was the largest recipient of taxpayer bailout money in Wisconsin -- receiving over $1.7 billion. They have not paid back any of this taxpayer money, forcing a deal to sell out to a Canadien bank. When that deal closes in July, the bank will move its headquarters out of Milwaukee to Chicago, potentially costing our city hundreds of jobs.
And despite leading the bank into financial collapse, M&I executives will receive $71 million in golden parachutes when the bank is sold. Even worse, CEO Mark Furlong will receive $24 million in severence pay and keep a management position at the bank! "See Invite Here
