It's time we take our government back. It's time corporate billionaires pay their fair share
US Uncut is a nationwide progressive grassroots protest movement.
-Because states are hemorrhaging public sector jobs amidst unnecessary draconian budget cuts and low tax revenue,
-Because 2/3rds of American corporations don't pay any income taxes,
-Because multi-billionaire headliners of the Fortune 500 list like Bank of America, GE, ExxonMobil, Citibank and others paid no income taxes in 2009,
-Because corporate tax dodgers cost the U.S. Treasury approximately $100 billion a year and $1 trillion every decade in lost tax revenue,
-Because hard-working public sector employees from California to London don't deserve to lose their jobs because of leadership failing to hold tax cheats accountable,
US Uncut has risen up to stand and say enough is enough.
Before one more teacher is fired,
Before one more police officer is given a pink slip,
Before one more honest state employee has to come home and tell their family they'll have to depend on EBT and unemployment checks to keep food on the table,
Our leaders have an obligation to make the richest of the rich pay their fair share in taxes like everyone else.
US Uncut is a non-partisan, grassroots progressive protest movement.
We're doing this of our own free will, without the financing of oil billionaires like the Koch Brothers, and without a major cable news network to do our own PR.
We aim to make our voices heard by finding the most egregious tax dodgers in this country, shutting down local branches of their businesses and refusing them the opportunity to earn income until they pay income taxes in the United States.We are organizing via Twitter, Facebook and word of mouth.
