Hold M&I Accountable - Move Your Money!!

This Saturday
April 30 · 10:00am - 11:00am

Your Invitation is Here | Hold M&I Accountable - Move Your Money!!

Do you want to hold Scott Walker and Alberta Darling accountable for their attack on teachers, students, and Wisconsin's working families?
Then hold M&I Bank accountable!
Saturday, April 30 · 10:00am - 11:00am

"M&I executives donated over $260,000 to Governor Scott Walker and his republican allies, the elected officials responsible for the recent attacks on Wisconsin workers. State Senator Alberta Darling alone has received $17,000 in contributions from the bank. Darl...ing is one of the leading lawmakers in the efforts to remove workers' rights in our state, gut our schools, and kick tens of thousands off healthcare.

But that's not all. M&I Bank was the largest recipient of taxpayer bailout money in Wisconsin -- receiving over $1.7 billion. They have not paid back any of this taxpayer money, forcing a deal to sell out to a Canadien bank. When that deal closes in July, the bank will move its headquarters out of Milwaukee to Chicago, potentially costing our city hundreds of jobs.

And despite leading the bank into financial collapse, M&I executives will receive $71 million in golden parachutes when the bank is sold. Even worse, CEO Mark Furlong will receive $24 million in severence pay and keep a management position at the bank! "See Invite Here

Iceland Declares Independence from International Banks

http://netrightdaily.com/2011/04/iceland-declares-independence-from-international-banks/

"Iceland is free. And it will remain so, so long as her people wish to remain autonomous of the foreign domination of her would-be masters — in this case, international bankers.

On April 9, the fiercely independent people of island-nation defeated a referendum that would have bailed out the UK and the Netherlands who had covered the deposits of British and Dutch investors who had lost funds in Icesave bank in 2008.The lesson here is instructive across the pond, but it is a chilling one. If the U.S. — or any sovereign for that matter — attempts to restructure their debts, or to force private investors to take a haircut on their own foolish gambles, these international institutions have promised the equivalent of economic war in response. However, the alternative is for representative governments to sacrifice their independence to a cadre of faceless bankers who share no allegiance to any nation.

It is the conflict that has already defined the beginning of the 21st Century. The question is whether free peoples will choose to remain free, as Iceland has, or to submit."
