All Ohio Gathering in Lafayette Square for November 6th Tar Sands Action

IMPORTANT NOTE: The time has changed to 1:30pm and remember, Daylight savings ends when November 6th begins, so remember to set your clocks back an hour.

Buses and carpools galore will convey the largest peaceful invasion of our Nation's Capitol from Ohio ever! We're inviting all Ohioans to gather in the Northwest corner of Lafayette Square, near the statue of General Von Steuben. We'll then show the rest of the Nation that Ohio remains at the forefront of the struggle to Stop The Keystone XL Pipeline as we march with Buckeye pride to join our friends from every state in the Union around noon.

The video Arthur released today is a bit longer than the others, but it's perhaps the best yet. It's not a video that stuns you, but as you watch person after person being handcuffed, you begin to realize how frightening this is in terms of preserving freedom and democracy. The arrests are shown while audio of Democratic Assembly Representatives making reasoned, passionate arguments for allowing peaceful observers to be left alone is played. The Democrats all wore buttons with the same words from the Wisconsin constitution that gallery observers had previously printed on their "illegal" signs.

It would be fascinating to crawl inside the skull of a politician like Kleefisch who decides to introduce punitive legislation like this under the disingenuous guise of a "job growth bill."

Apparently, Kleefisch wants us to believe most businesses have been clamoring for a new law to protect them from being sued by felons. Once it passes, I suppose all these firms will flock to Wisconsin to create thousands of jobs.
